We are allowed a couple of days rest and relaxation after reaching Fort Reldik. Then Captain Bradden orders us to Brindleford in search of Druse, as the Singing Stone is a very dangerous and disturbing artefact, and it is important to discover who was attempting to purchase it, and why.
Arriving in Brindleford, we make contact with the local blacksmith, Nok, who is an agent of the White Cloaks. He tells us to check a hostel on the west side of town, where there was recently a murder by magical means. We do so, and are informed by the owner of the hostel that one of his regulars was killed by a "big man in a cloak", which something like a fireball. Vlad gets spell-envy.
The hostel owner also tells us that, a day prior to being murdered, the dead man spoke with Druse, who has since skipped town. We surmise that the killer was the ultimate intended recipient of the Singing Stone. Word is that this man fled north after the murder. The only things there are our own Fort Reldik, and the Dragon's Delve, so we decide to explore the latter.
At the Delve, we meet Evinarius, an elven warrior who is searching for a magical ring. He seems on the level, so we allow him to join us. That'll probably bite us in the butts later.
Entering the Delve, we find a temple to the mostly forgotten goddess of the moon, Glorius. This temple has a divining pool that can be used to ask a single yes or no question, but only occasionally: we suspect once per lunar month. We kill some undead.
We then move on, and fight two mountain lions, killing one and knocking the other unconscious. We don't butcher the latter since the pair had cubs. We head on and encounter a room with a beholder Ocular Tyrant in a magically-warded glass tube that extends deep into the dungeon. It appears to consider us tasty. Vlad taunts it. That will definitely come back to bite us in the butts.
Moving on, we encounter a room that drains all the spells from our spellcasters. Yay. Beyond it is a chamber with lots of strange items ...
