Whiterock Other People

Page history last edited by Capellan 13 years, 5 months ago

Auntie

An elderly half-elven woman.  She runs a boarding house in Cillamar.  Seems to have knowledge of - perhaps connections to - the thieves' guild.

Bayard Hilltopple

Cora's father, this rather stout halfling tells many tales of his dashing, adventurous youth ... stories everyone enjoys, though Cora seems to be about the only one who genuinely believes that the plump, middle-aged fellow was once a daring hero.

Bree

See Allies.

Caprax

An ettercap chieftain, who rules over a cocoon-like castle of webs in the forests north of Grollek's Grove.  Assisted the group against Ruinheart, but cannot be considered a true ally, and might one day become an enemy.

Glimers

See Allies.

Ixnay

A Faerie Dragon with a taste for booze.  Regularly schmoozes off the party when they are in the taproom of the Inn of the Slumbering Drake.  Familiar of Lady Chauntessa, though she prefers the term 'friend'.

Lady Chauntessa

The elven proprietor of the Inn of the Slumbering Drake, the beautiful Chauntessa has lived in Cillamar for many decades.  She has expressed an interest in purchasing any books of history or arcane lore that the group might recover from Castle Whiterock.

Lady Talbalt

See Allies.

Lord Beval

A powerful local landholder, who hired the group to investigate a strange curse that struck his son's wedding feast.

Lord Eldoran

A local noble, probably the instigator of the curse upon the wedding feast of Lord Beval's son.

Or'dimisus

This rather cantankerous gnome runs the library in Cillamar.

Robgrut

An orcish alchemist who traded information for his life being spared.

Sapphira Silverhue

See Allies.

Sukuhn

A fortune-teller who seems to possess at least some genuine magical powers.  Rewarded the heroes for the death of Kaernga, leader of the White Talon Orcs in Castle Whiterock.

Thyran

A wizard with an interest in the curse at Morrick's Mansion.  The heroes found him somewhat unsettling - probably because his reaction to being told that acurse was demonic in nature was to suggest that the easiest means of lifting it would be to bargain with whatever demon had created it.  Seems to have left the area.

Widow Canty

This elderly (70-ish) human woman makes the best honey cakes in Beeton.  The group has recently learned that she came to the village some 50 years ago, and was already a widow at the time.  It appears she is originally from Cillamar, where she was the lover - or quite possible wife - of a man named 'Hawk'.  She disclosed this a fever, brought on by a giant bee sting.  The disclosure was made in a strange, slang-ridden argot that only Cora was able to understand.  This was later discovered to be thieves' cant.  The Widow taught this language to Cora, and told her that if she was ever in need of help in Cillamar, she should seek out "Auntie" in the Warrens, give her a special token, and tell her 'Raven says hello'.

Will Dunraith

The "luckiest man in Beeton", Will Dunraith married the town beauty, Helena, and has enjoyed great financial success with his experiment of keeping giant bees to increase his production of honey.
